Your policy, claims and billing systems still run the business. The problems start in the gaps between them. Multishoring connects, migrates and governs the data around your core, so reports reconcile, claims keep moving and AI has data it can use. We work with US P&C and Life & Annuity carriers on IBM Cloud Paks – in phases, without a rip-and-replace.
We Speak Policy, Claims and Reserves – Not Just APIs
Inside the carrier
Around the carrier
Our Insurance Data & Integration Services
Five services, one accountable team. Each one starts from a business process and a measured baseline, then uses the IBM Cloud Pak capability that fits the job – not the other way around.
Why Carriers Call Us
Most engagements start with one of these four situations.
Reports That Don’t Reconcile
Loss ratio, written premium and reserves differ between Finance, Actuarial and Claims. Every board pack starts with a reconciliation exercise.
A Core Program at Risk
A Guidewire, Duck Creek or PAS conversion is underway, and data quality, undocumented interfaces or cutover planning have become the critical path.
Claims Stuck Between Systems
Adjusters rebuild each file from the core, documents, email and vendor portals before they can act. Cycle time grows with every hand-off.
AI Pilots That Stall
The model works in the demo. Production is blocked by data quality, missing lineage and open questions from risk and compliance.
IBM Cloud Pak & Data Technologies We Implement for Insurers
IBM Cloud Paks are our core toolset for insurance integration, automation and data governance. Where parts of your estate already run on Microsoft, Snowflake or Databricks, we build around them instead of replacing them.

What Changes When the Data Layer Works

One set of insurance numbers
Premium, loss ratio, reserves and retention mean the same thing in every report, so leadership meetings start from the numbers instead of a reconciliation.
Modernization without cutover risk
Integration comes first, migration follows by line or block, and nothing is retired until automated reconciliation proves parity.
Claims that keep moving
Work, documents and exceptions are routed automatically. Specialists spend their time on judgement, not on searching for information.
Evidence on demand
Lineage, access logs and decision trails are built together with each pipeline and workflow, so audit and regulator questions are answered from records, not reconstructed.

Integration Services
We plan, build and stabilize integrations between core, partner and analytics systems – starting from the flows your business cannot afford to lose.
Integration Maintenance
Monitoring, support and continuous improvement for the policy, claims and billing flows your operations depend on.
P&C Claims Exception Orchestration
Route complex claims, documents and approvals around your existing claims core, with a full audit trail.

Insurance Data Modernization: Questions Carriers Ask
If you don’t find the answer you’re looking for, book a 30-minute diagnostic call. No preparation needed.
What is insurance data modernization?
Insurance data modernization is the work of connecting, cleaning, migrating and governing policy, claims, billing and financial data so it can be trusted for reporting, operations and AI. It usually happens around the existing core systems rather than by replacing them, and it covers integration, migration, data governance and BI as one program.
Do we have to replace our core system to modernize insurance data?
No. In most carriers the policy or claims core is stable and holds years of product logic. We keep it as the system of record, expose its data and services through managed APIs and events, and modernize the components that block change. A core replacement can follow later, on cleaner data and with lower cutover risk.
How do you integrate legacy policy administration systems with modern apps and APIs?
We start with an inventory of every interface around the PAS, including batch jobs and file transfers. Critical services are then exposed through managed APIs on IBM Cloud Pak for Integration, IBM MQ carries transactions that must not be lost, and events publish status changes to channels and partners. Mainframe and IBM i systems can stay where they are.
How long does an insurance data migration or policy conversion take?
It depends on the number of source systems, lines of business or blocks, data quality and reconciliation requirements. A focused migration of one line or one block is a matter of months, while a multi-system program runs in phases. We give a timeline only after assessing your environment, and the legacy system stays authoritative until reconciliation and business sign-off are complete.
Can AI handle insurance claims, and what data does it need first?
AI can support claims work, for example by summarizing a file, extracting facts from documents or flagging cases for review. It needs complete, consistent and traceable claims, policy and document data first, plus clear rules on which decisions stay with people. We build that data and control layer before a model goes into production.
How do you automate claims processing without disrupting adjusters?
We start with one high-volume claims journey and observe how adjusters actually work. Workflow then routes tasks, documents and approvals around the existing claims system, rules handle the routine steps, and unusual cases go to a person. Adjusters keep their judgement and stop chasing information.
How does IBM Cloud Pak fit alongside Guidewire or Duck Creek?
Guidewire and Duck Creek remain your policy, billing and claims systems. IBM Cloud Pak for Integration connects them with legacy systems, partners and channels, Cloud Pak for Business Automation coordinates work around them, and Cloud Pak for Data governs the data they produce for reporting and AI. The Cloud Paks complement the core platform; they do not replace it.
How do you make loss ratio and claims reports reconcile across Finance, Actuarial and Claims?
Conflicting numbers usually come from different definitions, sources and refresh times, not from the dashboards. We agree one definition per metric with the business owners, trace each metric back to its source data, add automated quality checks and publish certified datasets that every team reports from.
Do you work with both P&C and Life & Annuity carriers?
Yes. For P&C carriers the work is usually about claims, core migration, partner feeds and loss ratio reporting. For Life & Annuity carriers it is more often PAS conversion, in-force and closed block consolidation, distributor integration and actuarial and finance data.
How do you handle security and access to nonpublic policyholder data?
We work inside the access model your security team defines: least-privilege access, documented data flows, logging and agreed rules on where data may be processed. We support the third-party due diligence carriers run under the NAIC Insurance Data Security Model Law and state rules such as NYDFS Part 500, and we disclose who on our side touches which data.
How do we start working with Multishoring?
Book a 30-minute diagnostic call and tell us which process, report or program is under the most pressure. No preparation is needed. If there is a fit, the next step is a fixed-scope assessment that maps systems, data risks and a phased plan before any larger commitment.
