How a global industrial leader transformed fragmented data into a unified $5M+ annual savings engine using Azure Data Platform & Power BI.
This case study illustrates a common challenge for manufacturers expanding globally. The solution demonstrates our proven approach to creating a Single Source of Truth for finance and procurement. Do you struggle to answer “How much do we spend globally?” Let’s build your data foundation →
For a leader in the industrial components sector, managing a catalog of 100,000+ products (bearings, hydraulics, sensors) was a logistical nightmare. Acquisitions had created a fragmented empire with major hubs in Ohio, Bavaria, and Shanghai—each speaking a different data language (SAP, Oracle, legacy ERPs).
The result? Pervasive data silos. The organization had zero global visibility. They were buying the same parts from the same suppliers in three different regions at three different prices, completely unaware of their potential bargaining power.
The crisis hit during a high-stakes negotiation with a key global supplier. When asked to prove their total global spending volume to secure a tiered discount, the leadership team froze.
They simply couldn’t produce the number. That silence cost them an estimated $5 million annually in lost savings and exposed their data infrastructure as a direct threat to profitability.
We implemented Azure Data Factory to build robust ELT pipelines, pulling data from SAP (Germany), Oracle (USA), and local ERPs (China) into a centralized Azure Data Lake (Gen2).
Using Azure Synapse Analytics, we mapped disparate part numbers and supplier names into a unified “Star Schema” data model, creating a standardized language for the entire company.
We deployed interactive Power BI dashboards, allowing Procurement Directors to drill down from a global view to a specific invoice in seconds, not weeks.
A scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud data platform.

“This project exemplifies our philosophy. We don’t just implement technology; we untangle complexity. Seeing a company move from a public failure at the negotiation table to having complete control over their data is why we do what we do.”
Our strength lies in our people. This project was orchestrated by our PMO team, who ensure that every solution is not only technically sound but also perfectly aligned with your business goals.
We’d like to ask you a few questions to better understand your IT needs.
